In Basel you will find more than 4'000 hotel beds. The hotels in Basel are centrally located. All attractions, museums, restaurants and bars, as well as diverse opportunities for shopping are therefore easy to reach on foot or by public transport. When checking in as a guest at a hotel in Basel, you will receive a Mobility Ticket which gives you free use of public transport during your stay.

Some hotel rooms were pre-booked via Basel Tourism for the congress participants. Those rooms are available between the 19 and the 23 August 2013.

Please consider booking a hotel with engagement in sustainability in the city of Basel. We reviewed a couple of hotels based on their in-house policies since there is no common sustainability label available. Some accommodations in Basel have implemented the environmental management system “ISO 14001”, the sustainability label “ibex fairstay”, or follow other social/ecological engagements or are in close proximity to the conference venue. Note that some hotels also have environmental policies without certifications or declarations.
